Primary Duties
The main function of this role is to give phone-based education to patients and their caregivers, adhering to clinical protocols and nursing guidelines. As an RN in a telephonic position, you’ll enhance patients’ health and ensure they feel secure.
Your Impact
- Own the patient phone experience: Offer education on diseases, drugs, etc., to both patients and caregivers. Adhere to clinical protocols, assess and document data, and implement interventions.
- Coach and empower patients to achieve optimal health. Collaborate with the patient’s treating doctor about new symptoms or health concerns. As part of Accredo, you’re backed by a robust network of nursing professionals.
- Contribute to the professional growth of your team by mentoring new hires and conducting quality checks for peer documentation.
Essential Qualifications
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) compact license.
- Residency in a compact state is mandatory.
- Work experience varies based on education.
- BSN degree: 2–5 years
- ASN degree: 5-8 years
- RN license: 8–11 years
- Active and unencumbered RN license in your residing state, with successful completion of
- NCLEX or a recognized state board exam.
- Potential for obtaining multiple state licenses without restrictions.
- Expertise in neurology/multiple sclerosis, rheumatology, dermatology, pulmonology, and other areas mentioned.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and a stable internet connection (minimum speed: 5 MBPS upload/download).
- Strong phone skills and a valid driver’s license.
